Statement Of purpose

 

Personal Introduction

I am XXXX daughter of Sunil XXXX and XXXX. I live with my family in XXXX. I am willing to pursue my academic degree in BA. (Hons) International Business in the University of The WEST of SCOTLAND (UWS) London. London E14 2BE, UK. Their endless faith and encouragement from my parents as well as my teachers have inspired me to complete my further studies, which will boost my career. 

Academic History:

I have a well-maintained profile both in academic and personality. I have a 3.10 grade at my Secondary Education Examinations in 2018 A.D from XXXX and have secured a commendable C+ grade (2.56) in the Management Faculty in Grade 12 on 2020 A.D. from XXXX. To prove my English literacy, I have appeared the IELTS test on 23 July, 2022 and obtained the result of overall 5.5 (L:5.5, R:5.5,W:5.5, and S:6.0).

Why Not in Home Country:

After the events of pandemic breaking out and series of lockdown happening, I didn’t want to learn in Nepal since the most disturbed sector after health has been the education sector. Many students have lost 2-3 years due to strict provision of physical written exams which was impossible during the pandemic. On the other hand, unrevised study materials are the main reason for students lacking behind the international students is the major drawback of education in Nepal. Deciding that I do not have a promising future in Nepal, I have targeted to study in the UK, the Great Britain in the University OF THE WEST 0f SCOTLAND. 

Through my times residing here, I personally have understood that having one’s own business is very reliable than being a salaried employee, though I don’t say that being an employee is not worth it, but I am biased to have my own business than working to another person. This is why, I have chosen to study BA. (Hons) International Business for my further educational journey as the course is the combination of practical professional experience with creative approaches to enterprise and innovation that develops our entrepreneurial spirit. The course focuses on the organizing, planning and analyzing of business activities that are required to efficiently manage and run a business. The degree upbuilds the ability to respond to challenges and current developments in business and society. This degree helps to gain an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the core elements of business and its management. Also, the course’s nature to provide the insights of business and the market trends and industry reports helps to sustain in the business. Furthermore, having an overview of the main business functions and knowledge in the broad areas like: human resource management, entrepreneurship, finance and service operations will help me further in my path of having my own business. 

Why UK?

UK is the best suited destination for my study since UK due to its world class education facilities with flexibility and reliability and the main is the economic feature. The UK provides a high standard of education with innovative teaching techniques and have access to leading technology and state-of-the-art facilities. Further, most of the universities have provision of practical careers support which facilitates in career guidance and interview preparations putting focus in their students. In addition, studying in UK I will be taught by industry professionals and lecturers who are expert in their fields and will be able to make valuable connections with them at the time when I will be facing real-life business scenarios and placements. UK offers an educational experience that makes a real difference. The education systems in UK mainly focus on practical implementation and its approach to vocational and technical education is now recognized as among the best and most innovative in the world. Universities deliver excellence with practical and career-oriented training.

Why University of the West of Scotland:

University OF THE WEST of SCOTLAND (UWS) has been crowned Higher Educational Industrial of the year at the Herald Higher Education Awards 2022. They have the experience as well as expertise to provide students with the appropriate education that one needs. Besides, the efforts of making the courses entrepreneurial, creative and inspirational by the university has inspired me to join the university. The career-oriented approach is surely going to help me to make my career which is why I want to join the university to get a better approach to my goals. 

University of the West of Scotland is located in import Building, 2 Clove Cres, London E14 2BE, United Kingdom, which makes transportation easier as there is a train terminal. From their website, I got appropriate knowledge about University of the West of Scotland. University of the West of Scotland currently has 16,105 students, with approximately 1300 staff, spread across four schools of learning, which has created multicultural environment equally enhancing the learning with distinctive teaching methods.

Future Career Prospects

Upon the finishing point of the course from the University OF THE WEST of SCOTLAND, UK, I have also planned to apply for the Post Study Work (PSW) visa to gain some additional exposure in the business sector of UK and manage to get some connections so that when I return to Nepal, I will have the benefit of having both the international education and connections with the international industries. I can gain real-life experiences which will make me more confident to carry out my career in the same field. 

My ultimate goal in my career is to make a commendable contribution to the business world either by starting an innovative venture or by doing research which would change the dimensions of future computing and the way we perceive the managerial field. Moreover, a career with open prospects would give constant incentives to improve myself and to gain more knowledge. After completion of my degree, I can work as Executive Officer, Office Manager, Program coordinator, Senior Executive Officer, Regional Manager, Program Manager, Executive Manager or Director Manager, Human Resource (Strategy), General Manager in many of the business firms as well as I can also apply for mid-level managerial positions with companies like Hulas Automobiles , Chaudhary Groups , Surya Nepal, and financial and banking institutions like Standard Chartered Bank , Nabil Bank , NSBI Bank, and others, with monthly salaries ranging from NPR 55,000 to 65,000/-. 

On the other hand, as it is good to have a backup plan, I am confident of not being let down in terms of employability as well since in Nepal, the international degree is valued more than the local degree as we all know that we lack in terms of technicalities. With the degree in Business I would have a broad horizon of job opportunities in business field in the post of a Manager, Job opportunities are available in any field be it accountancy firms, insurance companies, or any other businesses with more than enough positions in the reputed businesses of Nepal like Bhat Bhateni Group , Chachan Group , Chaudhary Group  , Dugar Family  , Golchha Organization  , Golyan Group  , ICTC Group  , IME Group  .Hence, with the international degree the employability increases with high salary and career plan in highly demanded field of business ensures me to get return on my investment in education in UK.

As the above statement shows, I am highly ambitious and motivated in pursuing my master’s degree in the UK. By studying BA (Hons) International Business in your institution, I hope to extend my vision and improve the skills require to be successful in the field Business and Industry in Nepal.
