Reasons for not studying in Nepal
In Nepal, Kathmandu University (KU) provides BBIS
course. Other than this university, no other universities or colleges are
providing BBIS course. I could have studied the subject in KU, but being there
are limited seats and the course duration is of 4 years. Moreover, lack of
global recognition of higher level educational degrees from Nepal also made me
think again. It is also
true that resources in
Nepalese institutions are limited and the degree is not as recognized as an Australian
degree. In addition,
achieving an International degree would definitely help me become competent,
independent and allow me to contribute something to my home country as there
are better opportunities in Nepalese job market for internationally qualified
individuals. It is also evident that multinational companies in Nepal look for
internationally qualified candidates. Hence, I have decided to study abroad to
have the ability to afford qualitative education for better career
opportunities in the future. This is a good reason for me to
want an international degree.
Reasons for Choosing
Australia Over other Countries
I have seen many
Nepali students and my friends going to Australia for higher education. This
made me interested to do some research about Australia’s educational system and
other issues like weather conditions there.
I visited numerous consultancies and attended
several Education fairs in my hometown to find out the benefits of studying in
countries like the USA, Australia, Canada and others. Among various countries,
I decided to study in Australia due to its affordable tuition fees, high living
standards, a healthy environment and a well-balanced society for international
students in contrast to other countries. Though the USA has the
world’s largest number of international students and plenty of courses, the
enrollment system is complicated. UK has less opportunity for international students
in comparison to Australia. The cost of living is also very high in these
countries. Canada is also a very popular destination for Nepali students, but
the climate of Canada is too cold and the visa process is very long. Australia has one of the best institutions and
universities in the world. One of the primary reasons to choose Australia for
my study is that it has become a leading education powerhouse with some of the
world’s best faculties and educators, providing up to date knowledge to both national
and international students.
The living standard
in Australia is high, yet the expenses of living are lower than that of USA and
UK. The international students are given an opportunity of internship which
helps to develop the overall skill of a student. Most of the courses are
covered by the Australian Qualification
Framework (AQF), which has been authorized by the Australian Government and
is recognized in most countries of the world.
The Education
Services for Overseas Students (ESOS)
framework secures the rights of international students studying in Australia
which includes right to receive current and accurate information regarding the
courses, fees, modes of study, refund services in case of the institution’s
inability to teach the courses specified and other information from the
institution and its agent before enrolling.
Not only that, Australia has diverse landscapes, beautiful coastlines and modern cities as well as unique marsupials like kangaroos, koalas, wombats and quokkas. In the same way, Australians are kind, generous, friendly and rich in culture and always provide a warm welcome for a new culture. There are plenty of opportunities available for both leisure and pleasure. Therefore, studying in Australia will be an opportunity for me to visit the natural attractions and enjoy numerous cultures, foods and music festivals.
Reasons for Choosing Sydney and
AIHE
Sydney is one of the most livable cities in the world which provides a welcoming and multicultural society, excellent education system and vibrant business environment. It is the capital of New South Wales and famous for landmarks like Opera House and Bondi Beach. According to internet reports, it is a fantastic place to live, study and carry out research activities. However, for me, the most important reason for choosing Sydney is its similar weather conditions with Nepal-neither very hot nor very cold. Another reason for my attraction towards Sydney is that I can fully enjoy the attractions of the city during vacation and leisure time. The city offers a great chance to explore top global companies, leading professionals and different ways of life and profession. It will provide tremendous learning opportunities for me.
Why Australian Institute of Higher Education
(AIHE)?
The AIHE website says that it is a young institution with bold ambitions to be recognized as an innovative leader in the private education sector. It holds several accreditations with Australian and global accounting bodies. It is a partner of the Australian Computer Society and a member of the Australian Council of Private Education and Training. The AIHE continues to be committed to delivering quality education and going above the beyond to establish an excellent student experience through investment facilities, student support services and teaching resources. With some of my friends’ suggestions, I did some research about Western Sydney University , Kaplan Business School , Sydney City College of Management and Box Hill Institute . But when I made comparison, I found that AIHE has very affordable fees along with highly qualified and supportive teachers. AIHE helps to provide students with various skills to create and manage business solutions. It also helps to prepare students for entry-level management positions. Studying BBIS in AIHE in Sydney will also prepare me to identify core problems, innovations and strategies in the field of business information systems. I will be staying in Kent Street, which will provide me a comfortable transportation to and from AIHE. All these reasons led me to choose AIHE of Sydney, Australia for my higher education.
Reasons for not
Choosing USA, Japan or other European Countries
I have made some research about various other nations like USA, Japan,
and other European countries and even my neighbor countries India and China.
USA and UK are also two of the most desired education destinations. However, TOEFL
and SAT tests are required to get admission in proper universities in USA and
for scholarship. This means additional time and cost. However, in Australia,
IELTS or PTE is accepted as an English Test for admission. Apart from that, the
fee structure is affordable in comparison to other countries like USA and UK.
There is a lack of Post-Study Work (PSW) opportunity, TPS and ESOS Act in USA
and UK. Regarding Canada, studies reveal that the climatic conditions can go
extreme reaching up to -30DC. For countries like Germany, Spain,
France, Japan, etc., we need to take a regional language exam which consumes a
lot of time to pass. Because of all these reasons, I believe studying in
Australia will additionally excel my academics and competence so as to compete
in the modern competitive world.
Future Plans
After the completion of this course, I will have international degree due to which I can have immense opportunities in Nepal. I will be able to apply for jobs in companies like Chaudhary Group, Uniliver Nepal, Coca-Cola, Worldlink etc. In such jobs, I can expect salary ranging from NPR. 70,000 to 90,000 per month. However, my ultimate goal is to be a successful businessman in Nepal. The degree I am seeking to get is also a part of my emergency plan for the future if anything goes wrong with my parental business. Even if I get a good fortune from my parents, I want to make my own mark and do something for myself. Even if I have to take my father's business further, I want to do it in an even larger scale.
Why I Must Return to My Home Country:
There are boundless
opportunities available for me in the future. Nepal is trying to come out of political
turmoil after the successful National election and Local Body election. Though
it is still a developing nation, it hopes to progress rapidly with the recent
start of stable government. The environment for investment in business is
improving in the present context.
On the other hand,
being the only son of my parents, I have the responsibility to look after them
and take care of my inherited property, while serving the people of my country.
I will be better able to do that after I acquire sufficient skill and knowledge
in the field of business and management.
